Project Coordinator – for Growing Up Healthy: Peer Family Visitor Program serving Freeborn County – Grant Funded by Blue Cross/Blue Shield awarded to Freeborn County Family Services Collaborative.  Vision statement:  A network of responsive community entities, including families and careproviders, which work together to nurture the healthy growth and develoment of children pre-natal to five years.

Albert Lea School District Integration Plan Coordinator – working with Success Coaches, Equity Leaders, Administration, and instructional staff, Mary is coordinating efforts to close the achievement gap of minority students and children in poverty.

Facilitation- Mary has co-researched and co-authored facilitation resources through the University of Minnesota Extension. In addition she co-authored a chapter in “The Handbook for Working with Difficult Groups” by Josey Bass. Experiences in facilitation have included the board room, City Park, even focus groups on a commuter bus! Mediation training that augments my skills when working with contentious situations. Mary is also skilled at incorporating cultural differences including the use of interpreters to bring understanding and exclusivity to communities.

Coaching- Mary offers coaching to help communities identify their assets, develop and facilitate workshops and trainings on topics related to strategic planning, leadership development, community decision making, and specifically address community development in relation to immigrant integration and diversity.

Training- Workshop training ranges from leadership development, decision making, and being culturally competent by first understanding one’s own culture and other cultural dimensions. Workshops are tailored to the customer’s needs.
